I don't know why Jason wants a cab-over supercar . The Zonda is that car.

There are very few cars I would pick over a Pagani and a Ford GT is one of them.

The GT. I'd rather drive a crazy ride that people knew than a crazy ride that people didn't.
That and Ford dealerships can repair it.

Never had a lot of zonda love. I wouldn't get tired of that 7.3 liter v12 (largest production car gas powered V12, btw) but i would never feel good about taking it out...anywhere...for any reason. GT for me.

You could probably repair it yourself if you do work on your own regular car.

I do not do work on my regular car. I'm smart enough to know where my shortcomings lie.

Not even basic maintenance like oil and filter changes? From what I understand the Ford GT is a pretty reliable car.

100% Zonda. Gorgeous car, amazing interior, and an even better noise.

If I tried to change the oil, I would probably end up completely screwing up the transmission.
Why, you ask? Because I'm well known for destroying mechanical things simply by touching them. It's a wonder my computer still runs.

You are an evil, evil man (are you a man? or are you just pure evil floating through sub-space terrorizing the internet?)

How the HELL isn't the C12 winning?
![]() 07/25/2014 at 17:39 |

I think the Ford would be quite a lot easier to live with and more likely to continue appreciating....and heck, I just want it more.

I really, really want to pick the Zonda, but I'm a realist. Not only is the GT going to be cheaper, it's also street legal in the US.

There's a plug on the bottom and a plug on top. Unless you're severely mentally challenged I don't see how you can screw that up. I was changing the oil on my bike when I was 10.

I actually spent my bus ride and an hour at work trying to find those pretty images in order to torture, you, MrTheEngineer. I hope you can't stand making a choice and if you happen to betray your own conscience by picking either one, your soul is shredded and your life becomes a desolate abyss... or something like that.

Zonda. I've never seen one in the US.
The GT is nice, but I saw one or two the other day just hanging out at the local car show.
However, The supercharged 5.4 is nice, and I could probably tear it down and rebuild it without having to buy any engine specific tools from Ford. Plus if I blew it up I could find one from a wrecked truck pretty easy right?
The Zonda would require a significant investment in tools if older Benz engines are any indication. If I can afford the Zonda, I can make the garage to maintain it too. Which would be a good use of my time, so the Zonda.

I was under the Impression the Zonda was legal in the US.

Ford GT for me. Not only because its a Ford but also easier to mod and get more power from.

I knew it. Oh the soul shredding torture. Oh the humanity. Think of the children! WHY! WHY! WHY!!!!!

If they're being given out for free then you could take the Zonda and sell it to get two GTs
![]() 07/25/2014 at 18:33 |

GT all day. I know somebody easily maintains two in my town. The Zonda? Not so easy.

I live in the U.S. and I HAVE seen one. On a public roadway. On the back of a flatbed tow truck.

This isn't logic or mechanics; this is pure magic. Perhaps a gypsy curse.

Jeezus, Pat, it's not a rotary engine.
![]() 07/25/2014 at 22:44 |

Thank God. The rotary engine would explode.
